We’ve all had our issues with MSN, or, as they call it now, Windows Live Messenger. A lot of people are very hesitant to update to the new version because, well, let’s face it, it’s horrible.
The tricks I’m about to show you are for Windows Live Messenger 2009 Build 14.0.8117.416. Some of these may work for earlier and some may work for later versions. If you don’t know what version you have, check this image for where you need to go to check:
If you have this version, perfect. If you don’t, you can go to Google and look up “MSN for Windows XP”. Should give you this one.
One problem everybody seems to be having lately is the fact that nobody can CLICK on links anymore. When links are sent or received, they’re automatically translated into regular text making people copy and paste the links into their browser manually.
This was a security feature that Microsoft came out with to protect users from downloading malicious software, such as viruses and whatnot. There is a way to fix it, and if you’re interested, click here to read more.
